The Intersection of Mindfulness, Personal Growth, and Energy Healing

Reflecting about mindfulness, personal growth, and energy healing, I was reminded that each of these practices holds immense value on its own. But what happens when we bring them together? At the intersections of theses practices you can find the magic that develops within us inside and out—at a more profound and deeper level.

Let’s start with mindfulness as the anchor of presence. Mindfulness at its core, is the practice of being fully present in the moment without judgement. It’s about tuning into what’s happening around us and within us without being caught in the whirlwind of distractions, triggers and believe systems that hold us in a place of feeling a lack of confidence or self worth.

Connecting with our presence through mindfulness practices makes space where we can begin to witness when we become caught in energy and emotions, which distorts our value and self worth thus disconnecting us from our authentic self.

The practice of mindfulness or observing our thoughts and feelings cultivates a greater sense of awareness throughout the mind/body/soul connection. We will always face challenges and changes in our lives, which can be the guide to experiencing and integrating personal growth in a healthy and mindful way.

Growth can come with a feeling of wanting to become better, which can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. This is where a practice that embodies mindfulness can teach us that growth doesn’t need to be rushed—it unfolds in its own time and space, as long as we are staying present between our inner and outer self. Communicating, feeling, becoming conscious of our higher and lower self and sensing the cues that our body gives us through sensation creates an environment to experience stillness. This stillness in mind/body/soul is where you can learn to listen to what I call the Body Consciousness. In my experience personally and as a teacher, Body Consciousness refers to an individual’s awareness of their own physical body, including the sensations,  the needs and how ones body interacts with the environment.

I have found the ARCH Medicine Wheel, which I am certified to teach, has been an amazing mindfulness tool for me. I will be starting to teach this form of meditation practice at Imagine Wellness.  Stay tuned.
